Helicobacter Reporting Slated For Changes
 March 14, 2013
As of March 18, 2013, IDEXX RADIL will modify the way Helicobacter results are reflected on client reports.  Samples will continue to be tested using a Helicobacter spp. PCR that detects all bacteria in the Helicobacter genus, but this test result will now be directly displayed on reports.  We will also continue to report H. bilis, H. hepaticus, H. rodentium, H. typhlonius, and H. ganmani providing one of the broadest Helicobacter detection panels available. However, because in recent years we have not detected Helicobacter trogontum in laboratory rodents, this species will no longer be reported.

Big News About A Very Small Subject
 April 10, 2013
IDEXX RADIL Announces Zebrafish Health Monitoring
A growing number of researchers are choosing zebrafish as models for biomedical research because of the advantages zebrafish offer over other animal models for certain studies. First, their small size and ease of breeding make zebrafish relatively inexpensive to maintain, which allows researchers to increase animal numbers and to perform experiments using zebrafish that would be cost prohibitive using larger animal models. Secondly, embryos are transparent, which allows easy visualization of cell and organ development and permits experimental manipulations involving DNA or mRNA injection, cell labeling and transplantation.

a key element in many areas of life science research.  There is a growing awareness, however, of the deleterious effect that contaminated cell materials can cause to research and the drugs and therapies that are derived for that research.

IDEXX RADIL offers a comprehensive suite of services to address the quality and integrity of biological materials.  For more information on specific services, follow the links below.

CellCheckTM - Authentication and comparison of cell lines against published profiles
